Owl's Barn is a cosy yet comtemporary open plan Barn with stunning views across the coastline towards the Dart Estuary. Just a few short miles outside Dartmouth, Owl's Barn is situated in the lovely village of Strete.
There are two wonderful beaches nearby, ideal for summer holidays and there are plenty of places of interest for a great getaway in the winter. Strete offers fantastic hiking country with direct access to the Coastal Path.
There are fabulous places to eat; the Kings Arms great pub food and superb views. The post office is the hub of the village and sells just about everything including delicious home made cakes and jams.
Owl's Barn sleeps 4/6 people it has two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and ensuite shower room. The second bedroom has a double bed and two bunk beds. There is also a house bathroom with shower.
There is a patio and garden area. This is not fenced off, so although we welcome dogs (by prior arrangment), it is not possible to allow them to roam outside. Just down the road there is a wonderful community area, with spectacular views and just as importantly a dog poop bin!
As well as TV we have DVD, CD, and WiFi. The Log Burner makes it especially cosy for Winter Breaks (Logs can be bought from the Post office in the village). This is a no smoking property.
To make the most our our lovely views the layout of our Barn is upside down so the living area is upstairs and open plan split level which means the accommodation is not suitable for toddlers.
As well as being surrounded by beautiful beaches, Strete is 15 minutes drive from Dartmouth, home of the Royal Britannia Naval College. A vibrant working port, full of history and interesting places to visit as well as having a great selection of restaurants, bars and cafes.

This cottage was excellently positioned for South West coastal path and beaches. It was well appointed and exceptionally clean. It leant itself to cosy living coupled with stunning seaviews. Loved the split level lounge and kitchen diner which allowed us to cook and still be able to remain chatting with our friends. Excellent.
If you want a quiet, clean, cottage in a beautiful village, Owls Barn is the place. We could not fault it. It ticks all the boxes having all the amenities you need to make your holiday a stress free one. I would recommend it to anyone!!!
Lovely property, very well presented. Location is excellent, village has local amenities shop and pub. Near to lovely beaches and walks. Recommended.
